The Whangarei Orchid society is affiliated to the Orchid Council Of New Zealand which is the governing body of orchid societies in
NZ. The OCNZ is responsible for the training of judges for use by the societies for awarding plants and show judging and also produces a year book
which is
distributed to members of all the orchid societies as part of their affiliation fees.
The yearbook contains Photographs of the years awards and general news from the societies as well as advertising material from suppliers
of, mainly orchid related material.
